Challenges of Formative Assessment (Editorial) Damijan Štefanc
Summary: Current issue of the Journal of Contemporary Educational Studies thematically addresses one of the key problems in the educational area: the problem of formative assessment and its relation to knowledge grading. On 12 February 2020, just before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, this issue was discussed at an expert consultation organised by the Association of Slovenian Educationalists in cooperation with the Department of Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. This thematic issue can thus also be seen as a continuation of the controversial discussion at that time.
