Open Access Policy

All articles in the Journal of Contemporary Educational Studies are published under the terms of Open Access (Open Access Gold), which means that the content is freely available to authors, users and institutions. It is permissible to search, read, copy, distribute, print and create links to the full content of published articles for any responsible purpose, without the need to obtain permission from the author, publisher or link administrator. These provisions are in line with the Budapest Open Access Initiative.

The journal charges an article processing charge (APC) for the publication of articles (see information for authors). The APC is related to the costs of the technical preparation of the articles and is paid by the author, his/her institution or the research funder. Based on demonstrable need, a waiver or discount on publication costs may be applied to authors, for example for authors from low-income countries. This decision is taken by the Editorial Advisory Group.

Articles are published in full on the journal’s website immediately after the publication of each issue of the journal.

Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (abbreviation CC-BY-SA). Contributions published under the terms of this license may be freely reproduced and modified, but the original author must always be credited and all derivative works must be made available under the same terms.

The journal is also included in the DOAJ Directory, a unique and comprehensive open access index of journals from all over the world. It is developed by a professional and scientific community committed to making quality content openly accessible to all.
