Educational specialists and european dimension in education in Croatia Marko Turk and Jasminka Ledić
Summary: Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the results of the research on the European dimension in education and the professional activity of educational specialists in Croatia, with a particular emphasis on the educational specialists’ competencies regarding the advancement of the European dimension in education, their level of familiarity and knowledge of the concept. In the context of the defined aim, the paper will outline the results of the studies conducted in Croatia. The research results show that a number of educational specialists are still not sufficiently familiar with the European educational policies or interpret them in an incorrect and negative manner. The results additionally highlight the importance of the continued promotion of the EDE concept. It should be noted that this research revealed a new element in the educational specialists’ perception of the European dimension in education, the one connected with the labour market and labour mobility.
