The crisis of enrolment and dropping out in secondary vocational schools in Slovenia

Summary:  The article is about the crisis of enrolment and dropping out in secondary vocational schools in Slovenia. The goals of the article are stated according to the research problem. An analysis is performed of enrolment and dropping out in secondary vocational schools at a national level and there is also a definition of the national instruments used for decreasing the crisis of enrolment and dropping out. There is also an analysis of enrolment and dropping out at individual vocational schools, including conclusions about how vocational school management deals with the problem of enrolment and dropping out, as well as additional instruments that are used by individual schools to solve the above-mentioned issues. The results show that the influence of management in education on the decreasing of enrolment and dropping out is not of major importance. As indicated by the research, there is a national crisis of enrolment and dropping out in vocational schools in Slovenia.
