Choice and individualization in sports education classes through an example of good practice
Klemen Gutman

Summary:   In this article, we wanted to present an innovative approach to the organization and execution of sports education classes. With the implementation of the changes we proposed, we examined the active role played by students who possess an aptitude and a talent for sports and who, independently, through an individual approach and with increased selectivity of content, participate in creating their own personal workout plans to implement, monitor, value, and modify the training process. The changes that were made have been incorporated into regular heterogeneous sports classes at Gimnazija Šiška. The chosen working method has increased the selectivity of content and the student athletes’ active role in planning exercise sessions. Furthermore, it has made a positive impact on the motivation of students in training and has also allowed teachers to have a more creative role in the process.
